Seasons
The cycle of seasons is ingrained in our being from the beginning of time. We come back, be it as farmers, artists, urbanites in their parks, or survivalists in the deep woods, to the ever-changing face of our natural surroundings. We express the stages of our very lifespans as seasons. And when too many seasons accumulate, we find refuge in the wise man's words: "for everything, there is a season, [...], a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to harvest." The seasons represent the eternal background for life's spectacle. Nature itself is submissive to the immutable changing of seasons. Specifics about smells, sounds, colors, and air temperature become the supporting network for our memories. And then our past becomes confluent with the planet; season after season, generation after generation.
